Created in collaboration with a brand focused on functional yet aesthetically pleasing parenting essentials, this product transforms bath-time discomfort into a more comfortable, mess-free, and stylish experience.

Oxta Design led the end-to-end development—from refining the ergonomics and improving functionality to ensuring the product was lightweight, water-resistant, and ready for manufacturing.
The client approached us with a clear brief: redesign the standard bath kneeler to solve common pain points, such as soaking wet cushions, weak suction, lack of storage features, and outdated aesthetics. The original product on the market was functionally underwhelming and visually unappealing.
Our goal was to create a modern, ergonomic solution that enhances the daily experience for parents, while addressing the shortcomings of existing bath kneelers—particularly for eCommerce markets such as Amazon and baby-focused online retailers.

The final product features a rounded, pillowy kneeling pad, a curved elbow rest, improved suction grip, and a foldable design with premium materials—all packaged in a minimal, modern aesthetic.
Redesigning a familiar product category while keeping manufacturing efficiency, usability, and visual appeal in balance came with several challenges:
Water Retention & Dry Time: Engineering a cushion system that doesn’t soak and retain water like the current market offerings.
Secure Grip: Replacing underperforming suction cups with a better grip solution that holds firm to tubs and tiles without damaging surfaces.
Compact Storage: Developing an integrated zipper or folding system to allow neat, self-contained storage between uses.
Aesthetic Refinement: Moving away from generic, utilitarian looks toward softer edges, rounded forms, and visually warm design suited for modern homes.
Weight Restriction: Keeping the total weight under 1.3 lbs (around 600g) for shipping and ease of handling without compromising padding quality.
The mission was to create a bath kneeler that felt less like a utilitarian necessity and more like a premium comfort product for modern parents. Our design and engineering objectives included:
Improve ergonomics with rounded elbow and knee padding that distributes pressure and supports long use.
Use quick-dry, breathable, and water-resistant materials that prevent saturation and mildew.
Integrate strong and discreet storage features, including zippers, elastic pockets, and folding mechanisms.
Redesign suction and attachment systems for safety and reliability during use.
Elevate the visual design with soft forms, muted colourways, and clean branding (e.g. embossed Dazey Dove logo).
Deliver CAD, BOM, and tech packs for smooth transition to production and packaging development.
The result is a modernised, ergonomic, and user-centric bath kneeler that solves real-world parenting pain points while looking at home in any stylish bathroom.
